A Mother's Day wish...

I don’t remember the hours of labor or the endless diaper changes. I didn’t know what I was doing when I threw my spaghetti on the floor or cried all night long. My first memory of you is how you took care of me. Everyday, you fed me breakfast, lunch and dinner, all made with love. You made my owees all better just by inspecting them, and then administering a kiss. You taught me everything from how to walk and talk to minding my manners at the table.

After that’s over, it feels ungrateful to reach a certain age, salute with a brief thanks, and head out into the world. How can you repay someone who has dedicated and invested so many years of their life to you? It’s simple: just go out there, do what she taught you, and be the person she helped you become. That will show the world just what a wonderful woman your mother is.

But even with that, there will still be those days where nobody but a mother can make you feel better. Nobody but a mother can listen and tell you the truth. Nobody but a mother can take care of you. There’s nobody like a mother.

Thanks for everything mom.

Text messaging while driving may soon be against the law in New Jersey. This is an attempt to legislate against anything bad that might happen, and I'm against it. I don't like the way we as Americans create new government positions and/or legislation every time something bad happens. We have to realize that as long as there's people on this earth, there will be accidents, deaths, murders, violence, etc.

As an extreme example, if we made it illegal to drive, then we would save many millions of dollars in property damage and thousands of lives a year, but is it worth it? No.

Finally, America's comic, Brad Stine will be our guest. Stine has started GodMen, an organization that tries to make the Christian church less politically correct, and more manly.
