Jessica Gonzales VS Castle Rock Police

Nothing worse than a money grubbing, lying scumbag that sues government agencies under the guise of making America safer for other families.

If you don't live in Colorado, you might not remember the case that made national headlines. Simon Gonzales was separated from the mother of his children, the night he took the kids out for his weekly visit, and shot all three of them one by one while they sat in the front seat of his pickup truck. Simon then drove down to the Castle Rock Police Department and opened fire on the police station, which obviously led to a shootout with police, who eventually shot and killed Simon.

Jessica Gonzales had a restraining order against Simon. She says she called police several times that night and they failed to go looking for Simon and the kids. Jessica would have you believe that had the police done their job, she would still have her three children today. Gonzales is suing the Castle Rock Police for 30 million to "make it safer for other families, that's my job now." How noble.

If you read the poorly written article in the March 20th edition of The Denver Post written by Joey Bunch, you will need to be a detective yourself to piece together the chronological string of events. This is the only account we have to go by, so there's probably a plethora of information we don't know, but even just evaluating what we do know, we know enough to debunk the claims of this lawsuit. Trying to get someone to talk who is involved in this is impossible obviously because the case is currently in litigation.

So here's what we do know:

Simon picked up the children and took them for his night out (Not Illegal). Simon picked them up from the street, so as to not violate the restraining order (Not Illegal). Simon took them to Elitch Gardens, a local amusement park (not seeing anything illegal yet). Jessica called Simon and he answered his cell phone, he told her they were at Elitch Gardens.

This is a fact Jessica says is important. She says, at this point, it was known where Simon was and that cops should have driven to the amusement park and arrested him. I ask, "For what?" He still hasn't done anything illegal.

Jessica called several more times to the police and was asked if she thought that her children were in danger to which she answered, "no". She was asked by cops if Simon had a gun, to which she answered, "no". Go ahead and dispute that Jessica, you're on tape.

As the night got later and later, Jessica and Police now had something to go on. Simon hadn't returned the children. Now you have something to act on. Simon shot the kids sometime around 11:45 pm. Simon showed up at the police department for his shootout at 3:20am. Before 3:20am, police had two of their four units looking for Simon (sounds like police doing their job to me).

Police started looking for him when it appeared something might be wrong, at that point, Simon was no longer at Elitches.

Now, civil rights groups are trying to hold police accountable. They say that cops have to broad of protection against legal action. HA! Cops get sued all the time. If anyone is held to a higher standard, it's the police. Jessica wants $30 million, which as everyone knows, will eventually be paid by the taxpayers (even though the police department has insurance).

Jessica, thank you so much for trying to assure America is a safer and better place. We all can CLEARLY see you aren't in it for the money. You're obviously trying to teach a lesson to the police only to show them that they need to do their job. That and a box of chocolates won't get you a ride across town, at least in this town. The U.S. Supreme Court will see through your pathetic lies as well.

Do us all a favor: don't tarnish the memory of your children by embarrassing yourself.
