The Douglas Diaries

Bronco Talk- article by Gene Wojciechowski from ESPN.COM

An eight grade boy is pronounced dead after he threatens a SWAT team with a handgun. Authorities were told that the gun was fake before the shooting (at least that's what the family attorney claims). Sounds bad for police, but that's because everyone is a arm-chair quarterback.

How sure were they? When did they receive the infomation? How credible are the sources? Do they have an interest in the outcome? How do they know the gun is fake? Do they know for sure there is only 1 gun? What is being said by the boy? What have his actions shown him capable of?

Some of these questions we have answers to and some we don't. It's awful hard to pass judgment when we only know small slivers of the story. All I ask is that you ask some questions, and ones you won't hear being asked by the media.

Can you tell which gun is fake?

How about this? Is it a pellet gun or is it a real gun? You decide (Oh, and you have only a half a second)!
