On the show…

A Father’s Day Tribute:

Happy Father’s Day to the man who taught me how to play catch, ski, fish, and so much more. He taught me about responsibility and was always there to listen and give advice. Thank you. It truly is selfless to shed your blood, sweat, and tears so that your kids can have the best possible start in life.

So, thanks for setting an example and teaching through wisdom. Thanks for being there to listen and encourage. Take comfort as you enjoy and witness that part of you that will live on forever as the lessons and skills you’ve imparted are spread unto others until the end of time.

The Douglas Diaries tonight will include details about the military’s planned gay bomb, and find out who Bob Barker would like to see as his successor (hint: it takes a long time to VIEW her).

Plus, a heartfelt goodbye to Jim Spencer and Cindy Rodriguez from The Denver Post. I have also written a special tribute to the two of them:

Good riddance. Beat it.

Police raid a Desert Storm veteran’s home and charge him with a class 4 felony after finding he was cultivating marihuana. Did I forget to mention he had a medical marihuana license? We’ll get into the particulars of the case and you can decide whether or not society is better off without him on the street. I think choosing appropriate battles is an essential part of law enforcement, and this wasn’t one of them.

Finally tonight, a new study shows nearly three-quarters of people say they love their email so much, they would rather give up chocolate (54%) or coffee (50%) or TV (41%). Even though I find that TV one a bit tough to swallow, we’ll talk to David Shipley. David is a former speechwriter in the Clinton White House and is the deputy editor of The New York Times’ editorial page. His new book, “Send: The Essential Guide to Email for Office and Home” will be the subject.
